Two Denver-Area PR Veterans Team Up To Serve Cannabis Industry

DENVER, January 26, 2015 – Two Denver-area public relations veterans have teamed up to provide communication services for the rapidly growing legalized cannabis industry. They are Peter Kowalchuk, most recently of Republic Airways Holdings and Frontier Airlines, and former Rocky Mountain News Reporter Jerry Brown, who also was a member of the corporate PR staff of U S WEST for many years. Their new firm is SativaCOMM, LLC. ( “With legalization, Colorado’s cannabis industry came out from the shadows and into the limelight,” Kowalchuk said. “Ironically that makes it more challenging, not less, for cannabis professionals to tell their stories. Our goal is to help growers, sellers and others in this exciting new industry tell their story and tell it well.” “We’ve been impressed with the expertise and integrity of the people in Colorado’s cannabis industry,” Brown said. “We’re looking forward to working with the many dedicated professionals who are building this exciting and interesting new industry.” Peter KowalchukKowalchuk is a 30-plus-year PR and communication veteran who has worked with small start-ups and large global corporations – low-tech, hi-tech and everything in between.
